Prime Minister Welcomes Global Leaders To AI Impact Summit In Delhi

The Prime Minister welcomed world leaders, captains of industry, innovators, policymakers, researchers and technology enthusiasts to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event was presented under the theme Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya, translated as Welfare for All, Happiness for All, signalling a focus on human centric progress and inclusive development. Delegates from multiple countries and sectors were invited to engage in deliberations and collaboration.

The Prime Minister noted that Artificial Intelligence is poised to transform healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and enterprise, and he anticipated that summit discussions would deepen understanding of innovation, collaboration and the responsible application of AI. He emphasised the need for policies that balance ambition with safeguards and encouraged sharing of research, standards and best practices to ensure equitable access and societal benefit. Organisers aimed to facilitate partnerships across public and private sectors.

He underlined that India stands at the forefront of the global AI transformation thanks to the strength of its one point four billion (bn) people, robust digital public infrastructure, a vibrant start up ecosystem and cutting edge research. The Prime Minister framed progress in AI as reflecting both ambition and responsibility and suggested that India seeks to contribute to a future that is progressive, innovative and opportunity driven. Participants were invited to explore models that scale solutions for development challenges.

He noted on the social platform X that India was bringing the world together to discuss AI and he welcomed leaders and experts to engage in conversations intended to produce actionable outcomes. He described the summit as an opportunity to align innovation with welfare objectives and to promote responsible deployment of technologies that address public needs. Officials expected the deliberations to inform policy choices and encourage collaborations that may deliver scalable impact across sectors and benefits for citizens globally.
