C2i Semiconductors Raises $15 mn Series A Led by Peak XV

C2i Semiconductors was incorporated in Bengaluru on five June 2024 and was approved from one November 2024 for financial support and access to centralised design tools under the Scheme. The founding team has decades of experience at global firms such as Texas Instruments and National Semiconductor and the company has semicon industry veterans on its board. With the engineering team ramped to 65 engineers C2i has become one of the top three users among 100 companies of the centralised EDA tool grid.

The company is redesigning power delivery inside servers with a grid to core approach that manages electricity from the incoming source to the processor. Rather than improving individual components the approach delivers a smart configurable platform that optimises power delivery in real time and supports high density AI workloads. The technology aims to improve energy efficiency reduce heat and failures extend equipment life simplify server design and enable faster deployment and large scale data centre expansion.

Peak XV Partners led a $15 mn Series A to accelerate development of high density and ultra reliable system level power delivery solutions following an earlier $4 mn round led by Yali Capital. The cumulative funds raised amount to approximately Rs 1.7 bn including prior investment and Scheme support. C2i expects its first silicon designs to return from fabrication by mid year after which performance validation will commence. Government officials have indicated that the Scheme aligns with a broader programme to strengthen design and manufacturing support and create domestic intellectual property.
