Escorts Kubota Launches ‘Shaurya’ Paddy Tractor Series
Escorts Kubota has recently launched the Powertrac Shaurya tractor series, a new ‘South Special’ paddy-focused range designed specifically for wetland farming conditions in Southern India. The series includes five variants in the 39 HP to 52 HP category, targeting paddy-growing regions such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
The launch marks the first time the Powertrac brand has introduced a dedicated tractor platform engineered for paddy cultivation. Escorts Kubota currently operates three tractor brands in India—Kubota, Farmtrac and Powertrac—serving premium, entry-premium and value segments respectively.
Developed for operations in waterlogged fields, the Shaurya tractors feature cassette-type sealing across key aggregates to protect against water and mud ingress. The tractors offer a 3.1-metre turning radius for improved manoeuvrability in small and medium-sized fields. They are equipped with a fully constant mesh gearbox with eight forward and two reverse gears and provide Sensi-1 hydraulic lift capacity ranging from 1,600 kg to 2,000 kg, depending on the variant.
The tractors also include dual PTO options (540/1000) and reverse PTO, enabling compatibility with a range of paddy implements and applications such as balers. Additional features include a perforated elevated platform designed for wetland use, protected wiring harness routing and an adjustable slider seat with anti-slippery pads to support long operating hours.
According to the company, the Shaurya series strengthens Escorts Kubota’s strategy to expand its footprint in regional agricultural mechanisation markets and improve the product portfolio for paddy cultivation applications across Southern India.
