Ramky Infra Wins Rs 14.01 Bn DMIC Project

Ramky Infrastructure has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth Rs 14.01 billion from Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL) for infrastructure development in Phase 1 of the Dighi Port Industrial Area (DPIA) under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).

The project, located in Raigad district of Maharashtra, involves comprehensive infrastructure works including design, engineering, construction, testing and commissioning, along with operations and maintenance. The contract includes a four-year operations and maintenance period after commissioning, with the total project completion timeline set at 930 days from the appointed date.

MITL, a special purpose vehicle formed by the Government of India and the Maharashtra Government, is responsible for developing Parcel B of the Dighi Port Industrial Area. The project aims to strengthen industrial infrastructure in the region and support upcoming manufacturing and logistics investments along the DMIC corridor.

The scope of work includes the development of roads and allied structures, stormwater drainage systems, water treatment and distribution networks, sewerage infrastructure, recycled water distribution, power distribution and integrated utility ducts for ICT and other services.

Ramky Infrastructure will execute the project using its in-house engineering, planning and commissioning capabilities. The company plans to integrate operational preparedness into the construction phase to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to performance-based operations.

Sunil Nair, CEO, Ramky Infrastructure, said the project aligns with the company’s strategy of focusing on large-scale infrastructure assignments that require strong engineering capability and lifecycle management. According to the company, the project will enhance industrial readiness at the Dighi Port Industrial Area by providing reliable utilities and supporting efficient operations for businesses setting up in the region.
