TRUMPF Unveils High-Speed Laser Tube Cutting Machine

TRUMPF has introduced the new TruLaser Tube 7000 at the Tube trade show, featuring nine kilowatts of laser power for high-speed processing of thicker tube walls and enhanced production efficiency.

The machine enables up to 30 per cent higher productivity and up to 150 per cent faster feed rates when cutting 8 mm mild steel using nitrogen as the cutting gas. It is designed to handle a wide range of tube sizes, from 12 mm to 290 mm in diameter, offering flexibility for varied industrial applications.

Lucas Stix, Product Manager, TRUMPF, said, “Flexibility and productivity are paramount in today's laser tube processing… The TruLaser Tube 7000 combines these opposing requirements.”

The system incorporates digital features such as Condition Monitoring for real-time machine analysis, along with assistance technologies including ScanLine, Quality Pilot and ObserveLine functions to improve part accuracy and reduce manual rework.

With automated loading via LoadMaster Tube and integration capabilities for smart factory environments, the machine is targeted at sectors such as mechanical engineering, construction, automotive and agricultural machinery.
