NDMC Starts 24x7 Water Supply Pilot in Chanakyapuri

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has launched a pilot project to provide 24x7 clean water supply to 550 households near Vinay Marg in Chanakyapuri. NDMC Vice-Chairperson Kuljeet Singh Chahal recently laid the foundation stone for the project, which has been approved at a cost of Rs 1.38 crore and is expected to be completed within five months.

According to Chahal, NDMC has also initiated the process of appointing a consultant to prepare a comprehensive plan for round-the-clock water supply across its jurisdiction. The consultant selection process is expected to be completed within a month, following which a detailed report will be prepared for future implementation.

The pilot project aims to reduce non-revenue water, enable end-to-end automation of the water supply system, and ensure uninterrupted water supply in the identified area.
