Cummins India’s 'Nurturing Brilliance' Program Marks 20th Anniversary
2026-04-09
Cummins in India celebrated the 20th anniversary of its flagship Nurturing Brilliance program, awarding scholarships to 520 deserving students. The program, launched through the Cummins India Foundation, provides financial support and mentorship to students from underprivileged backgrounds, enabling them to pursue engineering degrees and diplomas.
This year, the program received an overwhelming 9,600 applications, and after a rigorous selection process, 520 scholars were chosen, including 20 students with disabilities. To date, Nurturing Brilliance has positively impacted over 3,100 students, with more than half of them being women.
Shveta Arya, Managing Director, Cummins India Limited, remarked on the program’s focus on providing access to opportunities and empowering students to reach their full potential. The initiative offers more than financial assistance; it includes mentorship from Cummins leaders, industry exposure, and training in soft skills and career readiness. Starting with just 13 students in Pune in 2006, the program has grown into a nationwide initiative supporting students across key industrial hubs.
Through this initiative, Cummins India continues to nurture the next generation of engineers, preparing them to become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
