CREDAI-MCHI Felicitates Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde

CREDAI-MCHI, the apex body representing real estate developers in Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), hosted a felicitation ceremony to honour Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde and Maharashtra Advocate General Senior Advocate Dr Milind Sathe on their appointments.

The event, organised under the leadership of CREDAI-MCHI President Sukhraj Nahar, was held to recognise the importance of these constitutional and civic offices in shaping Mumbai’s governance and real estate ecosystem. The association also reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with both offices to support the city’s planned and sustainable development.

Held at Nahar Panorama in Walkeshwar, Malabar Hill, the evening brought together senior bureaucrats, legal experts and key industry stakeholders, providing a platform for discussions on major issues impacting Mumbai and the MMR.

Several prominent dignitaries were present at the event, including Birendra Saraf, Former Advocate General of Maharashtra; Bhushan Gagrani (IAS), Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC); Jayshree Bhoj (IAS), Secretary, Department of Environment & Climate Change; and Nidhi Chaudhary (IAS), Director, National Gallery of Modern Arts (NGMA), Mumbai.

CREDAI-MCHI’s leadership team was represented by Bandish Ajmera, President-Elect, and Rushi Mehta, Hon. Secretary, along with several past presidents including Dominic Romell, Boman Irani, Deepak Goradia, Mayur Shah, Nayan Shah, Mofaraj Munot, Rajnikant Ajmera, and Jayesh Shah (Mentor & Senior Member). Vice Presidents Dhaval Ajmera, Sunny Bijlani, Gurminder Singh Seera and Dr Adv Harshul Savla were also present, along with Joint Secretary Samyag Shah, Convenor of the Youth Wing, and Alka Doshi, Chairperson of the Women’s Wing.

The event also saw participation from leading industry figures such as Anuj Puri, Chairman and Founder, ANAROCK; Architect Hafeez Contractor; and Manju Yagnik, Vice Chairperson, Nahar Group and Senior Vice President, NAREDCO Maharashtra. Several prominent advocates, including Adv. Dhaval Wasoonji, Adv. Dhaval Mehta, Adv. Parimal Shroff and Adv. Shailesh Vaidya, were also in attendance.

CREDAI-MCHI said the gathering highlighted the importance of collaboration between government, legal institutions and the real estate sector to build a more transparent, progressive and well-regulated urban environment.

The organisation reiterated that it will continue partnering with policymakers and civic bodies to strengthen infrastructure, drive sustainable development and improve the quality of urban growth across Mumbai and the MMR.
