Southern African Lifting Awards Entry Deadline Nears

As the entry deadline for the 2nd Southern African Lifting Awards approaches, participation is increasingly being seen as an industry benchmark rather than just an opportunity. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 30 October 2026 at the Birchwood Hotel & Conference Centre.

The programme recognises measurable achievements across Africa’s lifting and materials-handling sector, highlighting projects delivered safely, innovations that solved operational challenges, and training initiatives that are developing skilled professionals.

Organisers said the awards are becoming an important reference point for best practice as Africa’s infrastructure, mining and energy sectors continue to expand. Entries from SMEs and large organisations alike reflect the depth of expertise across the market.

The initiative is backed by stakeholders including YOKE Industrial Corp, RiConnect, Electra Mining Africa and Lifting Placements.

Submissions close on 31 July 2026 at 17:00, with late entries not being accepted. The event is expected to bring together decision-makers, engineers, operators and specialists from across the continent.
