Roof India 2026 Highlights Shift to Sustainable, High-Performance Roofing
2026-04-25
The 23rd edition of Roof India 2026 opened at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre with participation from over 150 domestic and international brands, drawing stakeholders across the construction ecosystem. The three-day exhibition is expected to attract over 8,000 visitors from 30 countries.
The event underscored a clear shift towards sustainable, energy-efficient and performance-driven roofing solutions. Technologies such as cool roofing—delivering 4–5°C temperature reduction and 15–20 per cent energy savings—along with insulated panels, solar-integrated systems and metal-based roofing, are gaining strong traction. Pre-engineered buildings (PEBs) and steel-based roofing are also witnessing double-digit growth, driven by demand from warehousing and industrial sectors.
The inaugural session featured key industry leaders, including Yogesh Mudras, who highlighted that roofing is emerging as a high-impact, innovation-led category within India’s expanding construction sector. He noted that increasing urbanisation and infrastructure development are accelerating demand for energy-efficient building solutions.
Speakers including Mahesh Bangad and Amarnath CB emphasised the growing role of design, sustainability and digitalisation in shaping modern construction practices.
A key highlight was the introduction of the Design Titan Awards, recognising innovation across roofing and construction. The event also featured 47 speakers through Open Seminar and Business Meets sessions, covering digital construction, passive cooling, 3D concrete printing and advanced materials.
With strong participation from South India, the exhibition reflects rising demand for climate-resilient and high-performance roofing solutions, particularly across industrial corridors and urban infrastructure hubs.
