LEWA Enhances ecoflow LDH Boxer Pump With 20% Higher Performance

LEWA GmbH has upgraded its LEWA ecoflow LDH Boxer (LDHB) process pump with a 20% increase in performance, enabling operators to improve efficiency without increasing equipment size or system costs.

The enhanced LDHB pump now delivers hydraulic power of 46 kW, up from 38 kW previously. According to the company, at a flow rate of 2,200 litres per hour, the maximum discharge pressure has increased from 622 bar to 746 bar. Alternatively, at 75 bar, the pump’s flow capacity rises from 18,000 litres per hour to 21,600 litres per hour.

Nicoline Walther said improving productivity remains a key challenge in industrial processing applications. She noted that the boxer pump design is already highly efficient because one drive unit powers two pump heads, and the upgraded LDHB now provides twice the hydraulic power of a single pump.

The upgrade follows a 15% performance enhancement introduced last year for the smaller LDG pump and further expands the capabilities of LEWA’s ecoflow product portfolio for higher-capacity applications.

LEWA stated that the ecoflow range is designed as a modular system of diaphragm and packed plunger metering pumps that can be configured for applications involving aggressive, abrasive or toxic media across energy, chemical and process industries. The pumps are known for high metering accuracy, operational reliability and leak-tight performance, even under high-pressure conditions.

The company added that the LDHB pump offers a metering range of 1:100 through adjustable stroke length and speed, allowing flexible operation across different industrial tasks. LEWA also highlighted its global spare parts and service network, aimed at ensuring long-term operational support and lifecycle reliability for customers.

Walther said the upgraded LDH Boxer pump reflects LEWA’s continued focus on expanding the performance capabilities of the ecoflow range while supporting customers through planning, commissioning, maintenance and system upgrades.
