Shyam Metalics Reports Strong FY26 Growth Performance

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited (SMEL) reported strong financial performance for the quarter and financial year ended 31 March 2026, supported by growth in revenue, profitability and operational volumes.

The company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 52.40 billion in Q4 FY26, registering a 27 per cent year-on-year increase compared to Rs 41.39 billion in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA for the quarter rose 33 per cent to Rs 7.56 billion, while profit after tax increased 42 per cent to Rs 3.12 billion.

For the full financial year FY26, consolidated revenue stood at Rs 185.52 billion, reflecting 22 per cent growth over FY25. EBITDA reached Rs 25.37 billion, while PAT stood at Rs 10.61 billion. Operating EBITDA for the year increased 25 per cent year-on-year to Rs 23.33 billion.

The company said operational volumes grew 22 per cent year-on-year during Q4 FY26, driven by growth across CR coils and sheets, pig iron, stainless steel and iron pellets.

During the quarter, the board approved an additional capex outlay of Rs 27 billion to strengthen value-added and specialty steel operations, expand downstream capabilities and support future growth initiatives.

Shyam Metalics also reported progress across strategic expansion projects, including Phase 2 operations at its CRM complex in Jamuria and expansion of its aluminium plant in Pakuria. The company’s aluminium manufacturing project in Odisha is also nearing commercial production readiness.
