The project is planned as a climate-controlled dome designed to recreate a tropical forest environment with artificial rain simulation, immersive fog and dense tropical plantations. Advanced systems will manage temperature, humidity and illumination to replicate rainforest conditions while conserving resources. Designers intend a futuristic biodome ecosystem that combines landscaping with interactive visitor experiences.

Central to the design is the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for ecosystem management, which organisers envisage will optimise water management, monitor plant health and regulate energy consumption. AI will also be used to manage movement and flow of visitors to enhance safety and experience. Planners present the installation as both an educational resource and a demonstration of sustainable urban technology.

The announcement highlighted growing collaboration between Gujarat and Singapore, with Surbana Jurong linked to phase one of the riverfront corridor project that connects GIFT City to Ahmedabad. Delegates at the forum discussed commercial ties spanning petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles and diamonds. The event was positioned as an opportunity to attract further foreign investment into infrastructure and clean energy.

Officials expect the attraction to boost tourism revenues, sustain local hospitality and retail sectors and create jobs in construction, landscaping and systems maintenance. It is also presented as a platform for environmental awareness, offering visitors insight into biodiversity and climate responsive urban design. Advocates argue the scheme will enhance Ahmedabad's image as a forward-looking and sustainable city.

The Sabarmati Riverfront has been cited as a successful urban redevelopment and the indoor garden is framed as a next stage in that evolution. Project supporters anticipate it will increase the area's global visibility and become a distinctive landmark tailored to local needs.
