REnergy Dynamics Bags Two Waste-to-CBG Projects in Tamil Nadu

"REnergy Dynamics (RED), a leading integrated bioenergy EPC and project development platform, has secured two Waste-to-Compressed Biogas (CBG) projects from Refex Renewables, strengthening its presence in South India. The projects comprise a 12.5 TPD CBG plant in Coimbatore and a 10 TPD plant in Salem, both utilising the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (MSW) and deploying two-stage mesophilic anaerobic digestion with CSTR technology to optimise gas yields and ensure reliable operations.

RED will provide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, along with one year of Operations and Maintenance (O&M), for both facilities. Combined, the projects will process approximately 550 tonnes of MSW per day, capturing methane for clean energy, displacing an estimated 2.9 lakh tonnes of CO₂ annually, generating over 250 local jobs, reducing landfill dependency, and saving ₹30–35 crore in annual fossil fuel imports.

Kushagra Nandan, Chairman & Managing Director, REnergy Dynamics, said, “Securing two projects from Refex Renewables reflects the strength of our execution capabilities and the growing confidence in our ability to deliver large-scale, sustainable bioenergy infrastructure. Partnerships like these accelerate India’s transition towards a circular energy economy.”

Varun Karad, Co-Founder & CEO, RED, added, “These back-to-back wins demonstrate the robustness of our techno-financial EPC approach. Waste-to-CBG is about delivering reliable, scalable systems, and these projects reinforce our footprint in South India with long-term performance in mind.”

Kalpesh Kumar, MD, Refex Renewables, said, “Our partnership with RED is rooted in a shared vision of building efficient, scalable waste-to-energy solutions. Their engineering expertise and execution-driven approach make them an ideal partner for delivering complex CBG projects with precision and reliability.”

With these projects, REnergy Dynamics continues to focus on execution-led EPC delivery, integrated feedstock-to-energy solutions, scalable and bankable project models, and expansion into high-potential regional markets, aligning with India’s push for sustainable energy systems and circular waste management.REnergy Dynamics (RED), a leading integrated bioenergy EPC and project development platform, has secured two Waste-to-Compressed Biogas (CBG) projects from Refex Renewables, strengthening its presence in South India.
