Repos Energy Showcases Autonomous Fuelling Solution at VivaTech
2026-06-22
Repos Energy showcased its Autonomous Fuelling Solution at VivaTech Paris 2026, demonstrating an AI- and robotics-driven model for future fuel stations at the India Pavilion during Europe's largest technology and innovation summit.
The Pune-based energy-tech company was among 25 Indian startups selected by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the 'Bharat Innovates' theme to represent the country at the event. This year's edition of VivaTech marked India's debut as the AI Country Partner, with the country hosting its largest-ever national pavilion at the summit.
The company's live demonstration featured an autonomous fuelling system integrating artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics and digital payment technologies. The solution incorporates AI-based demand forecasting, IoT-enabled remote monitoring and robotic dispensing mechanisms aimed at enabling fuel stations to operate with minimal human intervention.
The showcase coincided with the visit of Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal to the India Pavilion, where discussions focused on the potential introduction and scaling of autonomous fuelling infrastructure in India.
"India's vision for energy transition is not just about adoption, it is about building the infrastructure that defines the future," said Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry. "Autonomous fuelling is a critical piece of that puzzle, and the Government of India is committed to creating the right policy environment to introduce and scale this technology across the country."
Aditi Bhosale Walunj, Founder, Repos Energy, described the showcase as a significant milestone for the company and India's startup ecosystem. Chetan Walunj, Founder, Repos Energy, added that the future of energy lies in autonomous and intelligent systems powered by technologies such as AI and IoT.
Founded in 2017, Repos Energy has built a network of more than 2,500 fuelling partners and served over 25,000 businesses across India. The company said its participation at VivaTech 2026 is expected to help strengthen international partnerships and attract global interest in its autonomous fuelling infrastructure solutions.
