Michelin Opens Two New Retail Service Centres in North India

Michelin India has expanded its retail network in North India with the launch of two new Michelin Tyres & Services (MTS) stores in Amritsar and Panchkula. Opened in partnership with National Auto and Universal Tyres, respectively, the new outlets aim to strengthen the company's presence in one of India's fastest-growing automotive markets.

Located on Loharka Road in Amritsar and in the Industrial Area of Panchkula, each 5,000-sq-ft facility offers Michelin's range of passenger car and two-wheeler tyres, including the Primacy, Pilot Sport, Latitude Sport and LTX Trail series. The centres also provide wheel alignment, wheel balancing, mechanical repairs and maintenance services, offering customers a comprehensive automotive service experience.

Commenting on the expansion, Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director, Michelin India, said, "North India continues to be a key market in Michelin's growth journey, supported by rising vehicle ownership, improving road infrastructure, and growing demand for premium mobility solutions. The launch of our new Michelin Tyres & Services Stores in Amritsar and Panchkula marks another important step in strengthening our retail presence and bringing Michelin's globally benchmarked products and services closer to customers across the region. As we prepare to introduce Made-in-India passenger car tyres, we remain focused on delivering solutions tailored to the evolving needs of Indian consumers."

According to the company, Amritsar and Panchkula present strong opportunities for premium automotive retail owing to expanding infrastructure, increasing vehicle ownership and robust commercial activity. Michelin has partnered with established regional players to support its expansion strategy.

National Auto, Michelin's partner in Amritsar, has been operating since 1927 and is recognised for its long-standing presence in the local automotive market. In Panchkula, Universal Tyres brings over three decades of experience in tyre retail and automotive services.

Michelin said the partnerships reflect its strategy of working with experienced local businesses to enhance customer access to premium tyre products and mobility solutions while reinforcing its focus on safety, durability and performance.
