Blum reinforces India growth with leadership visit

Blum Group has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the Indian market following a high-level business visit led by Managing Director Martin Blum as part of the official Austrian trade delegation accompanying Federal Chancellor Dr Christian Stocker.

During the visit, Martin Blum joined the Austrian delegation in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The company's leadership also participated in the India-Austria Business Forum and held discussions with officials from the Ministry of Commerce to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic and business ties.

The visit builds on Blum's engagement with the Indian market following Managing Director Philipp Blum's visit in 2025. The company said it is continuing to expand its presence in the country through investments in customer support, training and market development.

Blum is establishing a nationwide network of Experience Centres, Solutions Centres and Inspiration Centres to strengthen engagement with furniture manufacturers, architects, interior designers and consumers. The company is also expanding its after-sales service and training programmes for professionals in the furniture industry.

Martin Blum said the company views India as a long-term growth market and intends to build lasting partnerships by offering products focused on quality, durability and reliability.

Maarten de Vries, Regional Director for Blum Asia Pacific and acting Managing Director of Blum India, said the company is tailoring its products and services to meet the evolving needs of Indian customers while supporting the country's rapidly growing furniture and interiors market.

As part of the visit, Austrian Federal Minister for Economy, Energy and Tourism Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer and Austrian Ambassador to India Robert Zischg also visited Blum's Mumbai office, where they interacted with the local team and reviewed the company's operations in India.
