Rajesh Power Services Bags Rs 6,530 Million PGVCL Orders

Rajesh Power Services has secured orders worth Rs 6,530 million (mn) from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited for underground power network projects. The company said the contracts, totalling Rs 6,530 mn, cover the design, supply and installation of distribution network components for multiple urban and semi urban locations. The agreements form part of PGVCL's broader push to enhance network reliability and reduce dependence on overhead lines in congested corridors. Work will be carried out in phases to align with local distribution upgrade schedules and minimise disruption.

The projects will involve laying of underground distribution cables, erection of associated substations and provision of ancillary civil works required for commissioning. Rajesh Power Services indicated that the work will be carried out through its engineering and project management teams and will leverage its experience in medium voltage distribution solutions. The company stated that compliance with local regulatory standards and safety protocols will be integrated into execution plans. The company will mobilise field teams and coordinate with local authorities to maintain supply continuity during commissioning.

The Rs 6,530 mn order intake will bolster the firm's order book and provide revenue visibility over the coming quarters. Management noted that execution of these contracts will support utilisation of the company's installation crews and will create opportunities for subcontracting to local vendors. The projects will contribute to steady cash flow as phases reach billing milestones. Standardised procurement and operational controls will be applied to help preserve project margins during execution.

Analysts said the contract win underscores the growing demand for underground distribution infrastructure in fast expanding urban areas and reaffirms the company's positioning in this segment. Rajesh Power Services will prioritise timely delivery and cost control to translate the orders into profitable operations. The firm will continue to pursue similar utility contracts to diversify its portfolio and scale its project execution capabilities.
