DDA Revenue Jumps 120 per cent After Strong Housing Sales

Narela emerged as the principal contributor, with 1,153 flats sold in the quarter accounting for nearly 90 per cent of total sales. Officials attributed the performance to a renewed focus on reimagining the sub-cities and to ongoing infrastructure works. The schemes have been extended until 31 July 2026 on a first come, first served basis and applications are being taken online.

The Authority reported that middle-income group sales were the largest segment, with 435 units accounting for 34 per cent of quarterly sales. Sales to the economically weaker section and low income group were 336 and 322 units respectively, and the high income group supplied 191 units. Officials said work on the Urban Extension Road II (UER-II) and the Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro corridor was improving connectivity and supporting demand.

DDA schemes such as DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana, DDA Nagrik Awaas Yojana and DDA Towering Heights offered options across income groups and attracted a broad range of buyers. The Authority noted that the predominance of sales in Narela, where 1,153 flats were booked, signalled growing public confidence in its housing programmes. Officials said that the quarterly performance would guide future allotment planning as infrastructure projects continued to bolster prospects.

The rise was linked to the Authority's emphasis on reimagining sub-cities under Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and on improvements that enhanced the appeal of Narela. Officials said the extension of schemes until 31 July 2026 on a first come, first served basis and the fully online application process made purchasing convenient. They added that the Authority would monitor demand to inform future allotment planning.
