Dubai’s welcoming city ranking supports property demand
2026-07-27
Dubai’s ranking among the world’s most welcoming cities is expected to support long-term demand across the emirate’s residential property market, according to Arabian Gulf Properties.
Dubai ranked seventh in William Russell’s 2026 list of the most welcoming cities for expatriates and newcomers, placing ahead of Warsaw, Seoul and Hong Kong.
The assessment considered expatriate experiences, migrant population levels, employment among foreign-born residents, attitudes towards migrants, safety and visa accessibility.
Arabian Gulf Properties said the ranking reflected Dubai’s business-friendly policies, advanced infrastructure, safety, global connectivity and quality-of-life offerings. These factors continue to attract international professionals, families and investors while supporting population growth and housing demand.
Badar Rashid AlBlooshi, Chairman of Arabian Gulf Properties, said Dubai’s ability to offer opportunity, connectivity and a sense of belonging was strengthening demand for well-planned residential communities and future-ready developments.
He added that developers would need to focus on projects that support accessibility, well-being and long-term value rather than concentrating only on buildings.
The company said buyers and residents were increasingly prioritising quality, functionality, sustainability and community-focused living when selecting properties. Dubai’s flexible visa framework and competitive business environment were also reinforcing confidence among end-users and investors.
