Capital Infra Trust plans six HAM asset acquisitions

Capital Infra Trust reported stable operational performance in Q1 FY27 and announced plans to acquire six hybrid annuity model assets as part of its next growth phase.
The infrastructure investment trust operated 12 HAM assets with assets under management of Rs 66.35 billion as of June 2026. The portfolio remained compliant with concession requirements, while four projects generated annuity inflows of Rs 2.16 billion during the quarter. The Trust also received an indemnity claim of Rs 104.1 million.
Capital Infra Trust declared a distribution of Rs 2.32 per unit for Q1 FY27, amounting to Rs 1.14 billion. Cumulative distributions since its initial public offering reached Rs 37.8 per unit, totalling Rs 12.08 billion.
Total income stood at Rs 2.95 billion, compared with Rs 3.45 billion in Q4 FY26. EBITDA declined to Rs 1.81 billion from Rs 2.82 billion, while net profit fell to Rs 1.26 billion from Rs 1.95 billion during the previous quarter.
Net debt represented 41.1% of assets under management, while the cost of debt declined to 7.24% from 7.33%. Around 59% of the Trust’s debt was linked to floating interest rates.
The Trust is conducting due diligence on six sponsor-owned HAM assets targeted for acquisition during FY27. The proposed transactions could expand its portfolio from 12 to 18 assets and increase assets under management by nearly 50% to approximately Rs 100 billion.
Capital Infra Trust has provided FY27 distribution guidance of Rs 9 to Rs 9.25 per unit.
