Escorts Kubota Q1 FY27 Profit Rises 26% to Rs 3.87 Bn

Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL) reported a strong performance for the quarter ended June 2026, with standalone profit from continuing operations before exceptional items rising 26% year-on-year to Rs 387.3 crore. The company’s growth was supported by higher tractor and construction equipment volumes, along with improved operational performance.
Revenue from continuing operations stood at Rs 3,178.9 crore in Q1 FY27, registering a 28% increase compared to Rs 2,483.4 crore in the corresponding quarter and a 7.7% rise from Rs 2,950.7 crore in the previous quarter. EBITDA increased 9.4% year-on-year to Rs 355.4 crore.
Profit before tax (PBT) before exceptional items from continuing operations rose 18.2% to Rs 493.8 crore, compared to Rs 417.9 crore in Q1 FY26. Net profit before exceptional items increased 26% from Rs 307.5 crore to Rs 387.3 crore. Earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations stood at Rs 35.20, up from Rs 33.87 in the corresponding quarter.
The company noted that the previous year’s corresponding quarter included a one-time gain from the divestment of the RED business and an exceptional gain from the sale of land and building. Excluding these impacts, EKL’s performance reflected continued strength across its core businesses.
On a consolidated basis, revenue from continuing operations reached Rs 3,207.6 crore, up 28.3% year-on-year. Consolidated net profit before exceptional items from continuing operations increased 26.8% to Rs 385.9 crore.
Commenting on the performance, the management said, “We are pleased to deliver our best-ever Q1 performance, driven by strong business fundamentals, disciplined execution, and healthy treasury income. Despite commodity inflation pressures, our focused cost management and operational efficiencies helped sustain growth. We remain confident about the future, supported by a robust pipeline of new product launches, continued innovation, and our commitment to creating value for customers and stakeholders.”
Segment Performance
Agri Machinery Products
Tractor volumes increased 20.5% to 36,862 units during Q1 FY27, compared to 30,581 units in the corresponding quarter. Domestic tractor volumes grew 22.9%, outperforming the industry growth of 18.6%, resulting in market share gains.
Segment revenue from Agri Machinery Products stood at Rs 2,766.5 crore, up 26.8% year-on-year. EBIT margin stood at 10.8% during the quarter.
Construction Equipment
Construction Equipment sales volume increased 27.4% to 1,344 units compared to 1,055 units in Q1 FY26. Segment revenue rose 39.2% to Rs 419.6 crore, compared to Rs 301.5 crore in the corresponding quarter.
EBIT margin for the Construction Equipment segment stood at 5.4% during Q1 FY27. The growth was supported by increased demand across construction and infrastructure equipment applications.
