Surya Roshni delivers customised lighting for NCRTC RRTS stations
2026-08-06
Surya Roshni has supplied customised indoor lighting solutions for 18 elevated stations on the National Capital Region Transport Corporation's (NCRTC) Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS), strengthening its presence in India's infrastructure lighting segment.
The project involved the design and deployment of lighting systems for platforms, concourses, foot overbridges (FOBs) and back-of-house (BOH) areas. According to the company, the luminaires were developed specifically to meet NCRTC's design, operational and performance requirements rather than using standard products.
Surya introduced two customised products for the project. The BOOM Light, installed in platform and concourse areas, has been designed to provide high illumination while reducing energy consumption. The Oculus High Bay Light, also known as the "Donut" light, has been installed mainly in foot overbridges and other indoor spaces. The 50 W fixture was produced in a customised RAL shade to complement the station interiors.
The lighting systems are designed to deliver higher luminous output with lower power consumption while integrating seamlessly with station architecture. The company said the solutions enhance passenger comfort, operational efficiency and energy performance in high-footfall transit environments.
Surya said the project demonstrates its capability to develop customised lighting solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects, including urban transit systems.
With annual revenue exceeding Rs 75 billion, the company manufactures lighting products for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure applications and exports to more than 50 countries.
