SECI Calls for Bids on Green Ammonia Production

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has launched a bidding process for the production of 5.39 lakh metric tonnes per annum (MT/year) of green ammonia. This initiative aims to foster the development of sustainable ammonia production in India, leveraging renewable energy sources.

SECI's call for bids is part of efforts to promote green hydrogen and its derivatives as viable alternatives to traditional fossil fuel-based energy sources. Green ammonia, produced using renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, is pivotal in reducing carbon emissions and advancing India's energy transition goals.
