Taiwan's Bestec plans Rs 2 billion manufacturing unit near Bengaluru

Taiwan's Bestec Group has proposed to establish a manufacturing unit near Bengaluru with an investment of Rs 2 billion. The announcement came after Industries Minister MB Patil met with Mike Chen, Chairman and Teresa Dong, Vice Chairman, Bestec Group.

The minister assured that the government would extend full support to facilitate the company's plans. The project is expected to generate 5,000 jobs over the next three years as the company gradually ramps up its investment in the facility.

Bestec, renowned for producing adapters, C-pins, EV and laptop chargers, and cables, aims to achieve an annual turnover of Rs 25 billion through this new facility. (Indian Express)
