Paradip Port Prepares for Cyclone Dana

In anticipation of Cyclone Dana's landfall on October 25, the Paradip Port Authority has ramped up its emergency preparedness, mobilizing resources, establishing shelters, and ensuring safe evacuations, an official statement confirmed.

Precautionary measures include the supply of medicines and food, and the safe relocation of ships to minimize potential disruptions. The port authority has prioritized accelerating all ongoing operations, with directives issued to complete loading activities from ships before the cyclone's arrival to protect cargo and equipment.

Additionally, buses have been arranged for evacuating vulnerable areas, while ships docked at the port have been moved to designated safe locations. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of all stakeholders.
