Liebherr Dozer Gets Trimble Earthworks Option

Liebherr has announced a factory-installed Trimble Ready kit for its largest dozer, the PR 776, making it easier for customers to integrate the Trimble Earthworks grade control platform directly into the machine.

This addition is designed to reduce installation complexity and cost while enhancing operator efficiency. The Trimble Earthworks-ready base kit includes mounting hardware, brackets, and an integrated wiring harness.

The PR 776, introduced in 2022, is the world’s largest hydrostatically driven dozer. It is powered by a Liebherr 12-cylinder diesel engine producing 768 horsepower. The machine supports a blade capacity ranging from 24.2 cubic yards (semi-U blade) to 28.8 cubic yards (U-blade).

“By offering a Trimble Ready option, we’re providing customers with a solution that allows quick and seamless integration of construction technology,” said Nico Schuchter, Product Manager at Liebherr.

Trimble’s Vice President for Civil Construction Field Systems, Scott Crozier, added, “This deeper on-machine integration simplifies installation and maximises productivity for Liebherr customers, helping accelerate their return on investment.”

The factory-fitted Trimble kit for the PR 776 Generation 8 bulldozer is available globally. Customers can access installation, training, and support via SITECH dealers and select Trimble resellers.

This development aligns with a broader industry trend where machine control systems are being integrated at the factory level, reducing aftermarket installation hassles and ensuring contractors can benefit from increased efficiency and precision right from day one.
