Syrma SGS to Make Dynabook Laptops in India

Syrma SGS Technology Ltd has partnered with Dynabook Singapore Pte Ltd to manufacture Dynabook laptops in India. The alliance supports the Government of India’s Make in India programme, aiming to meet enterprise demand and deliver globally renowned technology for Indian public and private sector customers.

Dynabook, known for releasing the first laptop PC in 1985 and a leading commercial brand in Japan, will now offer its high-quality products with local production support. Syrma SGS will use its electronics manufacturing expertise to integrate Dynabook’s portfolio for B2B customers.

Dynabook’s Managing Director, Wong Wai Meng, said this move deepens the company’s commitment to India’s self-reliance goals. Syrma SGS CEO Satendra Singh expressed pride in the collaboration, calling it a step forward for Indian customers seeking quality options.

Syrma SGS, a production-linked incentive (PLI) approved firm, brings over forty years of experience in IT hardware, with strengths in memory, SSDs, and systems integration. This marks the second global order secured by the company in 2025.
