Military Forum in Berlin Highlights VpCI® Tech for Combat-Ready Preservation

On June 25, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Berlin hosted an exclusive Military Forum dedicated to "Combat-Ready Preservation of Military Assets with Patented VpCI® Technology." The event gathered experts from the global military industry to discuss the essential role of advanced corrosion protection in enhancing the operational readiness and longevity of military equipment.

The forum spotlighted VpCI® technology, developed by Cortec® Corporation, a leading provider of environmentally responsible corrosion protection solutions. Cortec's experts, along with their international partners, shared real-world applications and field experience, showcasing how VpCI® corrosion inhibitors are being successfully used by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and The Royal Navy. The event also featured insights from military professionals from France, Germany, Italy, the UK, and the U.S., who discussed the technology’s effectiveness in both military production and preservation processes.

Ivana Radic Borsic, Vice President of Sales, Europe at Cortec® Corporation, remarked, "We are proud to contribute to this significant forum, which highlights the vital connection between effective corrosion protection and maintaining a combat-ready military. Our VpCI® technology significantly improves corrosion protection during both the manufacturing and preservation phases, ensuring military assets are optimally maintained for extended service."

Attendees at the forum engaged in valuable networking and discussions, exploring the latest advancements in corrosion protection and discovering innovative VpCI® solutions. Experts presented successful global case histories that demonstrated the technology’s crucial role in maintaining military equipment and enhancing operational capabilities.

Sustainability was another key theme of the forum, as Cortec® emphasized its commitment to circular economy principles through biobased formulations, recyclability, and waste management practices. These sustainable solutions align with modern military objectives, ensuring asset preservation while minimizing environmental impact.

The forum also served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, reinforcing the international commitment to innovative solutions for military asset preservation. As a part of the event, the Croatian Society for Materials Protection launched a new book, "Corrosion and Protection Using Inhibitors - Vapor Phase Inhibitors and Military Equipment," authored by retired Colonel Tadija Madzar of the Croatian Army.

Cortec® Corporation’s corrosion prevention solutions are trusted by military personnel worldwide and comply with various NATO and military specifications.
