XCMG Boosts Global Service Skills with World Competition

XCMG Machinery, a global leader in construction equipment, has successfully concluded the first edition of its World Skills Competition, reinforcing its commitment to developing elite service talent and enhancing global aftermarket service standards. The landmark event aligns with XCMG’s globalisation and “Skills Empowerment” strategies, as well as its contribution to the Belt and Road “Skills for Dreams” initiative.

Empowering Technicians Across Borders:
Held under XCMG's global expansion roadmap, the competition brought together more than 90 service technicians from 24 countries. Designed around international skill benchmarks, the event tested participants in real-world scenarios covering equipment diagnostics, component servicing, and system maintenance.
Following intense rounds of assessment, 24 service engineers were recognised for their world-class expertise, setting new benchmarks in service capability for XCMG’s global customer base.

Innovative Training & Skill Development Tools:
The 15-day programme integrated state-of-the-art learning tools and methods to optimise technician performance and knowledge retention:
AI-Powered Simulators: Enabled real-time diagnostics for smart mining equipment.
AR/VR Modules: Offered immersive, hands-on training in complex repair scenarios.
Precision Curriculum: Tailored learning pathways aligned with XCMG’s global service protocols.

Expert & Participant Insights:
“The competition blends skill validation, hands-on performance, and certification to build a robust global service talent ecosystem,” said Liu Haifeng, Chief Judge and member of China's National Training Team for World Skills Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.

Amilton da Silva Sousa, a South American service engineer and winner in the mining excavator category, shared: “I came not just to compete but to learn. The knowledge I take back to Brazil will empower my entire team. Everyone here leaves better prepared to serve.”

Future-Ready Service Excellence:
With the successful execution of this competition, XCMG sets a new global standard for aftermarket service delivery. The company plans to incorporate competition insights into its international training systems to ensure faster, smarter, and more reliable service support across its global markets.
