Mahindra To Sell Sampo Rosenlew Stake To Turkey’s TERA

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) has signed a definitive agreement with Turkey’s Tera Yatirim Teknoloji Holding Anonim Sirketi to divest its entire stake in Sampo Rosenlew Oy, its Finnish agricultural equipment subsidiary. The transaction, valued at EUR 5 million (about Rs 520 million), is expected to close by 6 October 2025.
With the completion of the deal, Sampo will cease to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra. The move is aligned with M&M’s strategy to streamline its portfolio and focus resources on areas offering stronger long-term growth.
Sampo, headquartered in Finland, is known for its high-quality combine harvesters and forestry machines and employs around 200 professionals. In 2024, it recorded net sales of about EUR 41 million. For the year ended 31 March 2025, its revenue from operations, net of intercompany transactions, stood at Rs 3.71 billion, contributing 0.23 per cent to M&M’s consolidated turnover. Its net worth as of 31 March 2025 was Rs 1.82 billion, or 0.24 per cent of M&M’s consolidated net worth.
M&M said the divestiture would allow Sampo to pursue innovation and growth under TERA while continuing to leverage its established legacy and expertise in the Finnish market. The company also noted that technologies developed by Sampo have strengthened Mahindra’s farm machinery portfolio over the years.?
