Indore Metro Conducts Successful Yellow Line Trial Run

The Yellow Line, spanning 33.53 km, will connect key locations including Palasia, Railway Station, Rajwara, Airport, Bhawarsala, MR10, and Palasia (Ring Line), forming a major circular corridor to enhance intra-city mobility.
Currently, the Super Priority Corridor — a 6 km operational stretch with five stations — is functional. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 May 2025, marking the start of metro operations in Indore.
Earlier, in September, MPMRCL successfully conducted trial runs between SC03 and Hiranagar Metro Station on the Priority Corridor of the Yellow Line, ensuring system readiness for extended operations.
Recently, S. Krishna Chaitanya, Managing Director of MPMRCL, conducted a detailed inspection of the corridor, reviewing progress at multiple stations and directing project teams to accelerate completion of pending works.
The Indore Metro, once fully operational, is expected to significantly reduce travel time, ease road congestion, and boost urban connectivity across one of Madhya Pradesh’s fastest-growing cities.
