He noted that over 10,700 reserved and 3,000 unreserved trains have been deployed to manage passenger traffic. Based on two years of data analysis, the Railways has planned special trains to match destination-wise demand. Permanent holding areas, such as the one at New Delhi Station with a 7,000-passenger capacity and extensive amenities, have enhanced convenience.

Minister of State Shri Ravneet Singh Bittu also inspected special festive arrangements at Ambala Cantt station. With Chhath Puja rush underway, 1,205 special trains will operate over four days, contributing to the 2,220 trains serving Bihar between October and November 2025. Passenger turnout at major Delhi stations rose by up to 7% compared to last year, underscoring robust demand.

Passengers have appreciated the cleanliness, improved facilities, and punctual operations. Railways personnel have also extended compassionate assistance, including emergency medical support to passengers in need. These coordinated efforts reaffirm Indian Railways’ commitment to safe, efficient, and comfortable festive travel across the country.
