Hycom Engineering Launches Advanced Made-in-India Electric Slip Rings

Hycom Engineering, a leading manufacturer of rotary joints and rotary actuators for the construction and heavy-equipment industry, has introduced its next-generation Electric Slip Rings, marking a major expansion of its motion-control solutions portfolio. Designed, engineered and manufactured entirely in India, the new slip rings reinforce the company’s commitment to advancing world-class industrial components under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
The Electric Slip Rings have been developed to address the rising need for high-performance electro-mechanical connectivity in modern equipment platforms. They enable seamless 360-degree rotation while ensuring reliable transmission of power and signals across moving assemblies. Built with rugged construction and precision engineering, the units are designed for long service life in high-load, high-vibration environments common across India’s fast-growing construction equipment segment.

The new slip rings are suited for a range of industrial applications, including aerial work platforms, cranes, wheeled excavators and electric excavators. They complement Hycom’s strong presence in rotary joints—used in heavy and mining excavators, piling rigs, cranes and other specialized equipment—and rotary actuators, widely deployed in aerial work platforms, garbage compactors, mining systems and shotcrete pumps.
With the introduction of Electric Slip Rings, Hycom now offers a comprehensive suite of technologies for power, fluid and signal transfer, helping OEMs improve compatibility, simplify sourcing and enhance equipment reliability.
