Atlas Copco Appoints Bhavin Pandya as GM for India Operations

Atlas Copco Group, a global provider of compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools and assembly systems, has appointed Bhavin Pandya as the new General Manager of its Compressor Technique Customer Center in India. In this role, Pandya will lead the company’s compressor business as it enters its next phase of growth in the Indian market.
Welcoming the appointment, Thierry Monart, Managing Director, Atlas Copco (India), said that Pandya’s return to India comes at a critical time as the country accelerates across industrial manufacturing segments. He noted that Pandya’s global leadership exposure and deep understanding of Atlas Copco’s culture would be instrumental in driving sustainable growth and delivering enhanced value to customers and stakeholders.
Pandya began his career with Atlas Copco Group in 2004 and has held several key leadership positions over the years. His earlier roles in India included Operations Manager for the Gas & Process Division, Head of Sourcing for Product Companies at Dapodi and Chakan, and General Manager of Industrial Technique, India. In 2019, he relocated to Prague, where he served as General Manager of the Industrial Technique Customer Centre for Eastern Europe, overseeing operations across 16 countries, while also acting as Managing Director of the local entity.
A mechanical engineer with an MBA from the Nirma Institute of Management, Pandya brings over three decades of industry experience. Prior to joining Atlas Copco, he spent nine years in the compressor domain, working across application engineering, product marketing and service sales functions.
Commenting on his return, Bhavin Pandya said that India’s rapid transformation presents significant opportunities for innovation and collaboration. He added that his focus will be on delivering modern solutions with high uptime, superior energy efficiency, lower carbon footprint and improved customer experience, supported by strong service and sales capabilities.
In his new role, Pandya will focus on strengthening customer relationships, expanding Atlas Copco’s product portfolio and building a future-ready organisation aligned with India’s evolving industrial landscape.
