The agreement was signed by Sh. Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (RDSS), REC Limited, and Dr. Alok Kumar Srivastava, Director General, NTH, at Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi. The signing ceremony was attended by Smt. Nidhi Khar, IAS, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs; Sh. Bharat Khera, IAS, Additional Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs; and Sh. Prince Dhawan, IAS, Executive Director (PMD), REC Limited.
The MoU follows sustained efforts by REC’s PMD – Quality Assurance Division, led by Sh. Yogendra Singh, GM & HoD, to address quality gaps in RDSS material procurement and installation.
Under the agreement, both organisations will collaborate on third-party quality testing of RDSS materials through NTH’s NABL-accredited laboratories. They will also jointly organise technical workshops and training programmes, and develop frameworks to enhance reliability and safety standards in power distribution infrastructure across India.
