Dhoot acquires Multilink to expand electronics business

Dhoot Transmission, backed by Bain Capital, has acquired Multilink to strengthen its electronics platform and expand its presence in two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments.

Multilink supplies chargers, sensors, relays and switches to OEMs and operates manufacturing facilities in Hosur, Mysore and Manesar. The acquisition enhances Dhoot’s capabilities across electronic and electrical components while expanding its manufacturing footprint and customer base.

The move aligns with Dhoot’s strategy to capitalise on rising vehicle electrification, premiumisation and increasing electronic content, particularly driven by EV adoption. The combined platform is expected to unlock synergies in procurement, manufacturing and supply chain efficiencies, while enabling cross-selling opportunities.

This marks another strategic acquisition for Dhoot as it continues to scale its integrated solutions offering for the automotive ecosystem, following its recent merger involving a subsidiary and FourFront to strengthen its electronics capabilities.
