Hengst Opens Fuel Filter Line in Bengaluru

Hengst has inaugurated a new cleanroom assembly line for fuel filters at its plant in Bengaluru, India, two years after the facility opened. The line was inaugurated by CEO Christopher Heine and Managing Director Sandip Mehta.

The company said the new assembly line was manufactured entirely by its India team, marking a shift from its first oil module production line, which was designed and built at its headquarters in Münster, Germany, in 2024.

The inauguration was attended by Annett Baessler, Deputy Consul General of Germany in Bengaluru, and Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, German Engineering Federation (VDMA India).

Nath said, "This is precisely where 'Make in India' meets 'Made in India for the World'. It highlights how India is transitioning from being a manufacturing destination to becoming a trusted global supply base—leveraging cost competitiveness and strong partnerships with global leaders.”
