BonV Aero Launches Air Hans Drone

BonV Aero has launched Air Hans, a heavy-lift drone designed to support last-mile logistics across India’s difficult mountain, border and remote regions. The UAV is built to operate in challenging terrain where snowfall, landslides and poor road access often disrupt supply chains.

Air Hans can carry a 20 kg payload over a 12 km range and operate at altitudes of up to 16,500 ft above mean sea level. Built on an aerospace-grade aluminium composite frame, the drone is designed to withstand wind gusts of up to 35 km per hour.

The platform has already been tested in demanding environments. BonV Aero earlier achieved a certified world record by lifting a 30 kg payload to 19,024 ft at Umling La, demonstrating rotor efficiency, battery stability and payload performance in low-air-density conditions.

The company is positioning Air Hans for use beyond defence logistics. It is currently piloting the drone for electrical grid line stringing in remote terrain and is also targeting healthcare logistics, including the delivery of medicines, blood supplies and emergency payloads.

Founded in Bhubaneswar, BonV Aero is pursuing DGCA approvals as it expands from defence-linked deployments into commercial and infrastructure logistics operations.
