Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Invites Bids For Three MW Solar PV Plant

The project scope covers planning, design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning within hospital premises, with a one-year defect liability period and 10 years of operation and maintenance to secure long-term performance. The project is estimated at Rs. 158.3 mn inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and requires an earnest money deposit of Rs. 2.583 mn, payable by demand draft, pay order, fixed deposit receipt or bank guarantee from a scheduled bank; cheques will not be accepted. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee equivalent to five per cent of the contract value and a security deposit of two point five per cent of the tendered amount.

Construction and commissioning must be completed within nine months from commencement and the selected contractor will be responsible for defect rectification and ongoing plant upkeep. Bid documents are available for download from July nine to August 20, 2026 up to 5:30 PM via the Central Public Procurement Portal, with pre-bid queries and site visits permitted until July 27; a pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 27 and responses will be published on August 6. Online submission opens on August 7 and closes on August 20, with original physical documents including the earnest money deposit due by August 27 and technical bids to be opened on August 28; the date for opening financial bids will be announced after technical evaluation.

The hospital framed the tender to ensure transparent selection, adherence to timelines and protection of project performance through guarantees and deposits. Qualified contractors with relevant experience in captive solar PV projects are invited to participate via the portal.
