Indian CE sales to up 15 per cent

Sales of construction equipment (CE) in India are expected to rise by 15 per cent this year. According to the latest Off-Highway Research data, sales of earthmoving, road building and material handling equipment, along with portable compressors, should reach 90,115 units this year, representing a growth of 15 per cent compared to 78,109 machines sold in 2017. The previous peak in construction equipment sales was 72,492 units in 2011. The robust growth and recent record demand are largely due to the government?s efforts to speed up the pace of infrastructure development.
