BPCL to develop 2 new petrochemical facilities in Bina, Kochi

Once the environmental approval is acquired, the projects should be finished in around four years, and they're supposed to start up by 2026. When these are put into operation, the proportion of petrochemicals in the company's product range will rise from the present 1% to around 8%, and the profits in this industry are healthy.
The move is a part of six strategic sectors that the corporation has identified as pillars of future growth as the world transitions from fossil fuels to renewable energy: petrochemicals, gas, renewables, new companies, i.e., consumer commerce, e-mobility, and upstream.
A thorough roadmap is being developed with the assistance of a top expert, and it includes important milestones that must be reached at certain points along the way. By 2040, BPCL hopes to have net-zero emissions.
