Solar open access in Assam growing quickly

In the second quarter (Q2) of the calendar year (CY) 2022, with Karnataka at the lead, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, and Gujarat were the top five states for open access solar installations. Ninety one per cent of all installations during the quarter were in these top five states. Assam has risen to sixth place in the top 10 states for open access solar installations. During the quarter, 2 per cent of all open access solar systems were located in the state. Assam was the thirteenth-highest installation state overall as of June 2022. However, the state is quickly climbing the list and has a lot of upside potential.
