TrucksUp Celebrates Truck Drivers’ Role in India’s Growth

TrucksUp has celebrated July 19 as TrucksUp Drivers’ Day with a special appreciation initiative across its network, recognising the contribution of truck drivers to India’s economy and logistics ecosystem.

With the theme “Strong Drivers. Stronger Nation. Together, We Drive India’s Growth,” the initiative highlighted the crucial role of truck drivers in transporting essential goods, supporting industries and ensuring seamless movement of cargo across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarthak Elwadhi, Co-founder, TrucksUp, said the company aims to empower truck drivers beyond digital services by helping them become truck owners and build sustainable livelihoods. Through its integrated ecosystem, TrucksUp supports drivers with solutions including pre-owned commercial vehicle purchases, finance and insurance assistance, load access and business management services.

As part of the initiative, TrucksUp encouraged drivers to use its mobile application, which provides access to a Load Board for business opportunities, Fuel Card savings, FASTag solutions, GPS tracking, insurance services and digital tools to manage their truck ownership journey.

The company also continues to focus on the overall welfare of the trucking community through initiatives such as health check-up camps, insurance support for drivers and helpers through its Fuel Card programme, and access to safe parking, resting facilities and discounted meals at “Apna Ghar” locations across major transport corridors.

To improve highway safety and travel efficiency, TrucksUp has partnered with NHAI and IHMCL to provide real-time highway alerts and road closure notifications through its platform. The initiative helps drivers optimise routes, reduce travel disruptions and improve safety during journeys.

The platform also supports FASTag issue resolution, reduces toll waiting time, provides information on Government Trauma Centres for emergency assistance and enables drivers to rate toll plazas. The feedback is shared with IHMCL to support improvements in toll plaza services and highway user experience.

Through the message “They Drive Miles, So That India Smiles,” TrucksUp reaffirmed its commitment to supporting truck drivers and strengthening India’s transport ecosystem.
